Cancellation & Termination Policy

Cancellation

The SLEAT Behaviour Consulting is committed to providing high-quality, client-focused services. We understand that circumstances may arise requiring cancellations or changes to scheduled appointments, and we aim to be as flexible as possible while ensuring fairness for all clients and practitioners.

  1. Short-notice cancellations (less than 24-hour notice)

    • If a scheduled service is cancelled with less than 24-hour notice, a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the agreed appointment cost will be charged. This fee covers the time reserved for the appointment and preparation undertaken by the practitioner. Cancellations can be made via text message, phone call or email.

  2. Extended absences (more than 2 weeks)

    • If a participant is away for holidays of more than 2 weeks, including school holidays, The Sleat Behaviour Consulting will hold therapy slots for a maximum of 2 weeks. For Christmas closure, we will hold therapy slots for a maximum of 4 weeks, including our usual 2 weeks Christmas closure.

    • If replacement sessions are not feasible prior to the extended absences, The SLEAT Behaviour Consulting may consider releasing the participant’s therapy time slot to those who are on the waitlist after the 2-week period. After the 2-week period, the participant may be placed back on the waitlist until a suitable therapy time slot becomes available. However, if the participant’s return coincides with the practitioner's scheduled days off or breaks, therapy may resume based on mutual availability.

  3.  Practitioner annual leave

    • The SLEAT Behaviour Consulting practitioners are entitled to accrue 6 weeks of annual leave each year. If a practitioner is planning extended leave (more than 2 weeks), the participant will be notified and arrangements for rescheduling or alternative care will be discussed at least 4 weeks prior to the planned leave. Alternative therapy options, such as replacement sessions, may be arranged based on availability prior to practitioner’s extended leave.
